A Walking Meditation

A Walking Meditation

Bring yourself into an even deeper, serene place..

As we continue along the Ascension Process, various forms of meditation have become part of our spiritual practice. Usually it involves setting aside a time and a place where we can become quiet and focus on the moment, often with our eyes closed, and particular attention focused on our breath. This practice has produced wonderful results in those of us who devote a portion of our day to leaving the world behind and focusing on the now. When we are in the moment we are truly alive and clearly connected to the multi-dimensional aspects of both ourselves and universal consciousness.

Traditionally, meditation has been an undertaking we do apart from daily activities such as work or recreation. Eyes close, rhythmic breathing begins and the energetic vibration rises. For centuries, in many cultures, spiritual seekers have endeavored to meditate in this manner, but the time has come to expand from practicing meditation, to living it every moment with eyes wide open. In The New Era, full attention is required.

This is not to say that traditional methods of meditation are no longer useful, quite the contrary, but why stop there? Yes, we may have learned meditation a particular way, but practices and beliefs can be updated, just like software on computers.

Many of us do not like change. We are comfortable with things the way they are, but nothing remains the same, especially in this day and age. Almost as soon as a new way of thinking emerges, it becomes outdated and replaced by another, more relevant and, hopefully, forward one. Change is occurring more rapidly than ever. We must learn to adjust very quickly, because the alternative is struggle, as we see on a daily basis.

We have been practicing and preparing for for quite some time, and now we have graduated. It is time to begin implementing what we learned. The good news is, yes, there is good news, easily accessible guidance is readily available to us. More of us than ever, are channeling and receiving new information, and it is not by coincidence, no, it is by design. There has been a special cosmic dispensation that has thinned the Veil so this can happen. How cool is that?

Perhaps it would be helpful  for us to explore traditional meditation processes, in order to get a clearer understanding of how the meditative state can be integrated into daily life. When we meditate, we focus on our breathing. We all breathe, no matter what we believe, who our parents are, or what we look like. Breath is a common denominator for all. There is no discussion or disagreement about whether it is right or good to breathe. Therefore, a primary characteristic of meditation is that it does not involve ego. The breath and the heartbeat contain the primal rhythms of life, the basic inspiration for all music, and the aspect of all living creatures as they resonate with the Divine motion of the Universe.

When we meditate, we usually cease all other activities, and focus on the inner aspects of our energy body. We generally close our eyes, sit in a comfortable position, and become the best that we can be. As we relax and open the chakras, we can begin to melt into all that is, and connect with the ancient aspects of our multi-dimensional being. Even if we do not realize it, when we are in a meditative state, we have, by varying degrees, escaped the collective consciousness, while sitting in the midst of it.

Therefore, once this has been experienced, why not just stay in that vibration? How would we be able to function is society while in this state, you may ask? We can, when we focus on every moment.  By doing so, we can go through our day in a walking, waking meditation. Yes, of course, at first it will take practice, but is that not what we have been doing all those times we sat in a meditative state? When we live in the now, we are truly present in every moment. We are not thinking of anything else except what is happening to us at that instant. After awhile, you will learn to prefer it to the blind-sighted, absent-minded existence in which we find ourselves when we are caught, from moment to moment, in the whirlwind of the collective consciousness.

As we experience living in a waking meditative state, with eyes wide open, we see miracles, synchronicity, and the loving actions of others. We are moving with the Rhythm of Life and gracefully dancing to the music that is piped into the very existence of every atom, molecule, and cell.

So why sit and meditate the traditional way, we may ask? Because it is the way to bring ourselves into an even deeper, serene place, and that is what we take with us into our day. It is a continuing process of merging with our Higher Selves, and what could be better than that? After all, how will humanity move forward if the same things are done, the same way, on and on? As we redefine our definition of spirituality, it is a Living Meditation!
