Loving Your Past Life

You are not who you were in the past or who you think you will be in the future. You are who you are now.

Whether in this lifetime or another, memories might conjure up pleasant feelings or perhaps uncomfortable ones. Embrace the happy moments and send Love to the rest. You are a different person than you were in the past, and whatever you did or however you were then, is what brought you to where you are now.

Imagine you are embracing and comforting your past self. Take the pain that you once felt and send it up into the Light, so you do not have to experience it again.

By holding on to unpleasant memories, you are remaining in a situation and continuing to experience it. Did you learn something because of what happened, did a personal transformation occur afterwards? Find the good in every part of your life, so you can value each aspect.

By utilizing your past experiences and realizing that other folks may be going through similar things in their life, you will be better able to appreciate what they are feeling. It also enables you to see that every part of your past had value, for you were able to pass through the difficult times. There were no mistakes, only detours.

When you think of all that you have lived through, you can gather up the good memories and keep them in your heart like a treasure, for that is what they are. You can measure your life with the blessings you have received and the people you have known, some of whom may still be in your life and others who have gone away. Remember the good times you had with them, however few they may be.

Everything you have learned along the way can make your life more enjoyable now if you recognize the value. However, each person must find their own way. Some do it more easily than others, but that is their journey. Even if you took a wild ride to get where you are now, you did it your way.

Of course, you can look back and say what you could have done differently, but that is only because, in retrospect, everything is always easier. No, you could not have done better, because you did the best you could with what you had to work with at the time.

The same goes for others in your life. There are some that you think of fondly and others maybe not. Each person comes into your life for a reason. Some will share your happiness and others may help you learn things about yourself.

Some relationships have expiration dates.

That does not mean they failed. It just means that it is time for both parties to move on. Cherish the good times and let everything else go. Look back at the fond memories you shared with someone and relish in the relationships that remain.

It’s all good, as they say, and it is. The important thing is that you do not want any part of this lifetime or any other to be a tragedy, so always look for the bright side of why your past happened the way it did and how it helped you become the amazing person you are now.

Remember, everything comes from the Light, and that includes YOU.
